The 2022 Southwestern Zone Shoot was conducted on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, July 15, 16, and 17, 2022.

The shoot was conducted simultaneously at five trap clubs:

    Arkansas GF&F in Jacksonville AR
    Albuquerque Trap Club, Albuquerque NM
    Southwestern Shot Gunners, Silver City NM
    Missouri Trapshooters Association, Linn Creek MO
    Oklahoma Trap and Skeet Association Shooting Park, El Reno, OK

​A total of 419 shooters took part in the Zone Shoot, with 50 shooters at the Albuquerque Trap Club.

Twelve shooters at the Albuquerque Trap Club won trophies during the Zone Shoot:

  Juliet Studness was the D Class Champion in Event 1, Class Singles with
     a score of 99.
  Greyson Bollinger was the Third Place Champion in Event 2, Preliminary          Handicap with a score of 97.
  Samantha Rainsdon was the Lady 1 Champion in Event 2, Preliminary             Handicap with a score of 97.
  Juliet Studness was the Junior Champion in Event 2, Preliminary
      Handicap with a score of 97.
  John Ahlgrim was the D Class Champion in Event 3, Class Doubles with
      a score of 90.
  Greyson Bollinger was the Sub Junior Champion in Event 4, Singles
       Championship with a score of 196.
  Jamie Anderson was the Runner-Up in Event 5, Doubles Championship
       with a score of 98.
  Billy Healy was the Class A Champion in Event 5, Doubles Championship
       with a score of 97.
  Jamie Anderson was the Runner-Up in Event 6, Handicap Championship
        with a score of 96.
  Joseph Lepeska was the Veteran Champion in Event 6, Handicap
       Championship with a score of 95.
  John Ahlgrim was the D Class Champion in High All Around with a score
      of 373.
  Greyson Bollinger was the Sub Junior Champion in High All Around with a
      score of 381.

Besides the many shooters taking part over the weekend, there were many other people helping to make the shoot a success.  Without members scoring, loading traps, and emptying trash, the shoot would have ground to a halt, so, thank you volunteers.

Also, a very special thanks to James and Cathy Sundsmo who manned the kitchen all three days, providing great lunches for the shooters.
